About Samuel Hulse

Hello. I’m a fifth generation Idahoan who has served Bonneville County for the last 21 years as a Deputy Sheriff. I have had the opportunity to work in various areas of the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office including Patrol, Investigations and Administration. I currently serve as the Captain of Law Enforcement Operations and I’m the Senior Deputy for Sheriff Paul J. Wilde.

I’m a certified Peace Officer Standards and Training Instructor and have been involved in the Region VII Crisis Intervention Team as a trainer since 2009.

I have been involved in bringing innovative programs and technology to the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office.

I currently serve on several boards on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office, including: Region 7 Behavioral Board, Behavioral Health Crisis Center of East Idaho Advisory Board, Idaho Public Safety Communication Commission and Region 7 Crisis Intervention Team.

I also serve as an Incident Commander on the State of Idaho Region 3 Incident Management Team.

I’m a husband and father of four boys. My wife, Michelle, and I have been married for 28 years. We have also been blessed with three granddaughters and one grandson.

I enjoy fly fishing, hiking, camping, cross country skiing and shooting sports.

Bonneville County enjoys a great quality of life and a relatively safe environment to live, work and play. It is my goal to continue to serve Bonneville County as its next Sheriff. I would appreciate your vote in the upcoming primary election on May 19, 2020.
